Sawtasura, or “voice of the image,” is a Saudi-based curatorial research and development platform founded by Tara Aldughaither in 2020, working towards an embodied archive of regional histories.

At its heart, Sawtasura is a community-built multimedia library — an evolving repository of legacies shaped through collaboration with artists, researchers, and public and private cultural institutions that share long-term visions and goals. The platform envisions archiving as a living process: one enacted through practice, participation, and performance.

Through exhibitions, research collaborations, strategic consultations, and public programs, Sawtasura partners with those seeking to develop processes rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and artistic inquiry. Its projects bridge sound with archival practice and intangible histories in the Arab region, delivering artistic solutions, products, and services that cultivate relationships, strengthen local narratives, and affirm their global resonance.

While women’s narratives and sound-based practices remain central to its mission, Sawtasura collaborates across disciplines to support meaningful artistic production and critical reflection. Its vision is to sustain a living cultural ecosystem — one where creative processes, archives, and communities evolve together.

صوت الصورة، أو Sawtasura، هي منصّة سعودية للبحث والتطوير القيّمي أسّستها تارا الدغيثر عام ٢٠٢٠، تعمل نحو أرشيفٍ مُتجسّد للتواريخ الإقليمية.

في جوهرها، تُعد صوت الصورة مكتبة وسائط متعددة مبنية على المجتمع — مستودعًا متناميًا للإرث والذاكرة، يتشكّل من خلال التعاون مع فنانين وباحثين ومؤسسات ثقافية عامة وخاصة تتشارك رؤى وأهدافًا طويلة الأمد. ترى المنصّة أن الأرشفة عملية حيّة تتحقق عبر الممارسة والمشاركة والأداء.

من خلال المعارض، والتعاونات البحثية، والاستشارات الإستراتيجية، والبرامج العامة، تبني صوت الصورة شراكات مع من يسعون إلى تطوير عمليات فنية قائمة على الأصالة والاستدامة والبحث الإبداعي. تربط مشاريع المنصّة بين فن الصوت والممارسة الأرشيفية والتواريخ اللامادية في المنطقة العربية، لتقدّم حلولًا فنية ومنتجات وخدمات تُسهم في تنمية العلاقات وتعزيز السرديات المحلية وترسيخ حضورها في المشهد الثقافي العالمي.

ورغم تركيزها الأساسي على سرديات النساء والممارسات الصوتية، تتعاون صوت الصورة مع مجالات إبداعية متعددة لدعم الإنتاج الفني الواعي بالسياق وتعميق التفكير النقدي. تسعى المنصّة إلى بناء نظام ثقافي حيّ تتطوّر فيه العمليات الفنية والأرشيفات والمجتمعات معًا، في حوارٍ مستمر بين الذاكرة والممارسة والإبداع.
